The challenges that the full employment of cryptography face in Brazil and
in the world are continuous. Among proposals for filtering communications
content, weakening cryptography for access to communications by
investigative authorities, and making it mandatory for providers to employ
message traceability mechanisms, the risks that the security of connected
infrastructures and users' rights face are varied. In order to map these
policies, the contexts from which they arise and the challenges they
potentially offer, we will bring together panelists from different regions
of the world - Asia, Europe and the Americas - as well as researchers and
Brazilian police representatives. The event is part of the schedule of

Brasil e no mundo. Entre propostas de filtragem de conteúdos de
comunicações, enfraquecimento da criptografia para acesso a comunicações
por autoridades investigativas e obrigatoriedade para que provedores
empreguem mecanismos de rastreabilidade de mensagens, são variados os
riscos que a segurança das infraestruturas conectadas e os direitos dos
usuários enfrentam. Com a finalidade de mapear essas políticas, os
contextos de onde surgem e os desafios que potencialmente oferecem,
reuniremos painelistas de variadas regiões do mundo - Ásia, Europa e
Américas - além de pesquisadores e representações policiais brasileiras. O
