The issues are broader than those covered by the Internet Engineering Task Force, and builders of the interplanetary internet will have to navigate among multiple organizations, including the United Nations, and Artemis Accord signatories. There are no fundamental barriers, but it is important to think about governance issues early so as to prioritize technical and political resources while avoiding delays and unnecessary frictions.</p>
