He was known both for his coding skills, helping create <strong><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS" style="color:#007117;text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">RSS</a></strong>, <strong><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creative_Commons" style="color:#007117;text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">Creative Commons</a></strong>, <strong><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markdown" style="color:#007117;text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">Markdown</a></strong>, as well as his activism, founding '<strong><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demand_Progress" style="color:#007117;text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">Demand Progress</a></strong>' and opposing <strong><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protests_against_SOPA_and_PIPA" style="color:#007117;text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">SOPA/PIPA</a></strong> amongst others.</p>

The entire segment was repeated last year's as part of <strong><a href="https://isoc.live/15075/" style="color:#007117;text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">ISOC LIVE's 12 Days of Streams</a></strong> event.</p>
